Spring/Summer 2012 Fashion Forecast

Upon doing some research into the fashion forecast for Spring/Summer 2012, I came across this palette that outlines some of the key hues predicted to make an appearance on the catwalk in a couple of months time. The summer prior saw a collection of candied brights, then winter became more subdued but still intense. This upcoming season will bring a break from those vivid colours, with pastels and subtle shades setting a gentler and more elegant mood. Greys will continue to be a staple, lightening from winter but keeping the clean, unbiased and timeless base. The more striking colours will remain abundant, however they will be controlled, and broken up with pastels and softer textures.

With this in mind, I have selected a few umbrellas which I think will make a perfect fashion statement next Spring.

This gorgeous pair from Danish designer, Lisbeth Dahl, capture the lovely pastel hues at their finest. The architectural  silhouette is a distinguishable feature from this  designer; as a strong feature of this umbrella it gives a characteristic approach to a beautiful piece. Elegant and luxurious with a twist – what a perfect statement piece to start the season off with.

The Candy Dome is a simply essential accessory. Combining minimilism with a retro edge, this umbrella showcases those pastel tones of the season whilst giving ultimate protection from the rain. There is nothing worse than dressing for a summer’s day and finding yourself in an unexpected downpour – this umbrella is the best way to stay fashionable and be prepared!

And of course, there is the lovely Heart umbrella. We sell these in an array of colours – here I have selected the ones I think will be perfect for Spring/Summer 2012. A feminine, quirky accessory to compliment any outfit. These umbrellas also come in darker shades which are perfect for toning down the colour in the winter months.
